CCAA Basketball Officials' Developmental Prospect Camp

The California Collegiate Athletic Association (CCAA) will again hold its annual NCAA Basketball Officials' Developmental Camp for prospects in Las Vegas, Nevada this summer. Two separate Sessions will be offered.  This is an Invitational Camp with your resume being an important part of your Registration Form. Early registration is encouraged to allow for decisions to be made on invitations.  Do not choose a session.  Sessions will be assigned after registration is received.

Session I - July 21-23, 2008
Session II - July 23-26, 2008

Sportslink Camps are one of the premier teaching camps for basketball officials in the entire state. The camp staff is among the best at teaching and refining an official's game and moving them to the next level of performance.  All camp staff are committed to the philosophy of "each official will leave camp a much better official than when they arrived".

On-court mentoring and observers evaluations are supported by classroom sessions that cover a variety of topics including:

  • Game Management, Awareness, & Control
  • Handling Difficult Situations
  • Working with Coaches
  • Mechanics and Court Demeanor

All games are officiated using crews of three and will be taught to those who have not worked 3-person before.  A camp social is held both nights of the camp for all campers, staff and guests.
