Camp FeaturesThe camp is designed to provide officials with an extensive positive experience, which includes the following activities: - Review & discussion of the 2008-09 NCAA & FEDERATION RULES & MECHANICS.
- Dialog and meetings with JC College Assigners, Coaches, and Supervisors of Officials.
- Classroom discussions on Handling Difficult Situations, Working with Coaches, Game Management, Signals, Mechanics and Court Demeanor, the JC Culture, and sharing successful and proven techniques and strategies.
- Direct dialog and meetings with highly successful officials, from several different JC conferences, and top Division I and II officials sharing different topics in the classroom.
- Networking with, and observing other officials in game situations.
- Officiating 3-4 games a day using 3-person mechanics, with personalized feedback on each game.
- Floor Demonstration of both men and women’s Three-Person Mechanics.
- A UCSB JC Developmental Camp Shirt and Instructional Materials Packet are provided.
